In addition to our issues, which are released twice a year, we also solicit and publish artwork through our projects.
Pride 2020
We are creating a QTBIPOC issue for Pride month on the theme ‘Queer Loving’. Through this issue we want to create a positive and wholesome space for healing and solidarity.
The Distanced Project

“And let me talk to you with your silence
― Pablo Neruda, Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair
that is bright as a lamp, simple as a ring.
You are like the night, with its stillness and constellations.
Your silence is that of a star, as remote and candid.”
The Distanced Project hopes to capture a range of experiences and responses to the self or otherwise imposed isolation due to Covid-19. How does this isolation affect our bodies? How do the intersections of our identities and physicalities affect our access to amenities and our experiences with social distancing?
We first started the project in April 2020 to celebrate National Poetry Writing Month while being conscious of the impact of Covid-19 on the world. Based on the response we received, we decided to launch another version of the project: Distanced 2.0. Starting from May 2020, Distanced 2.0 would be open to all artistic forms and expressions.
We will continue to run this project as long as it remains necessary and relevant. Distanced 3.0 explores the far-reaching effects of Covid-19: from the hyper-personal to the sociopolitical, from current fears to future imaginations.
